On March 20, our world lost an incredible advocate when Sen. Jean Breaux passed away.
Sen. Breaux was an impactful figure in the Indiana State Legislature and a strong proponent of many constituencies, including people with disabilities and their families. She and her mother, The Hon. Billie Breaux–who serves on our Advisory Board, have been longtime friends of Noble.
As shown here in 2013, Sen. Breaux was always happy to see her constituents from Noble when we visited the state legislature for The Arc of Indiana’s Valentine’s Day at the Statehouse.
With the permission of Mirror Indy, we are sharing their article–written by Emily Hopkins and Peter Blanchard–that recognizes the impact that Sen. Breaux made on our community, the people we serve and our state.
