Tax season is quickly approaching. The IRS started accepting returns in late January, with the end of tax season on Tax Day, April 15, 2025.
Indiana 211 has partnered with Indy Free Tax Prep (part of the IRS’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program) to offer FREE tax help to:
- People who generally make $66,000 or less
- Persons with disabilities
- The elderly
- Limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance preparing their tax returns
Through VITA, IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
No application is needed to use this service. Assistance is provided at community & neighborhood centers, as well as other convenient locations throughout the state.
