Are You Registered To Vote?

This week is National Disability Voter Registration Week, highlighting how important it is for each adult in our community to exercise their civil rights.

In recognition of this, Noble is hosting a voter registration drive this week.

National Disability Voter Registration Week is coordinated by The REV UP Campaign.

REV UP stands for Register! Educate! Vote! Use your Power!

Each year on the third week of July, the REV UP Campaign works with organizations across the country to increase the political power of people with disabilities while engaging candidates and the media to recognize the disability community.

Voter registration drives promote community involvement and civic participation.

Americans are passionate about many issues, including education, transportation, diversity in the workforce and healthcare. The first step, however, is to channel this passion into power by registering to vote.

In 2016, Rutgers University estimated that 35.4 million people with disabilities were eligible to vote, and that number continues to increase.

Every state has slightly different rules, so it’s important to take a moment to ensure that you are registered to vote.
